Explosion injured 17 people in Chinese Taiyuan

At least 17 people were injured due to a powerful explosion that occurred in one of the neighborhoods of the city of Taiyuan, the administrative center of the Chinese province of Shanxi. This was announced on April 30 by the Chinese state television and radio company CNR.

"According to the relevant departments of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, 17 people were injured in the explosion, including four seriously injured," the publication said.

Three of the injured have already been discharged from the medical facility. Firefighters continue to carry out rescue operations: they enter the exploded building and take one person out of it.

An explosion occurred at the Shahid Rajai seaport on April 26. It caused damage to most of the buildings in the harbor, as well as cars. On April 27, the Governor of Hormozgan, Mohammad Ashuri, declared three days of general mourning in connection with the tragedy. According to The New York Times, the explosion was caused by a substance used to produce rocket fuel. According to the latest data, the death toll from the incident has increased to 70 people.
