Traditionally, foot crews and columns of military equipment will pass through Red Square, and combat aircraft will fly over the capital in the sky. It is expected that the Armed Forces of Belarus will also take part in the event. Izvestia tells us when the parade will begin, how long it will last, and how preparations are underway for the main Victory Day event in 2025.

As in previous years, the event will begin with the removal of the Russian flag and the Victory banner. Then Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver a speech on Red Square. It will end with a minute of silence in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War. The culmination of the holiday will be a demonstration of military equipment and a performance by the Russian Air force.
Preparations for the celebration are nearing the final stage. Red Square is currently closed to the public. There will be no access for visitors until after the May holidays.

The jubilee parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory promises to be especially solemn, so preparations for it began in April. The first training sessions were held in Alabino, near Moscow, where the Ministry of Defense training ground is located. There, the military practiced a drill step to synchronize movements. However, the real interest is aroused every year by the city rehearsals that take place within the capital.
In Moscow, all participants of the parade rehearsals arrive on Nizhni Mnevniki Street (NWAO). From there, mechanized columns move along the route Zvenigorodskoe highway — Barrikadnaya metro station — Tverskaya Street, where a small stop is made. Next are Manezhnaya and Red Squares.
The first military training was held in the capital on April 23. Two more preliminary rehearsals were held on April 29 and May 3. The dress rehearsal of the Victory Day Parade in Moscow will take place on the morning of May 7 at 10:00.
Traffic in Moscow will be partially restricted these days, including along Tverskaya Street, Sadovoye Koltso, Mokhovaya, Arbat and adjacent embankments.
