Sales of the new seven-seat Moskvich 8 crossover in Russia will begin in mid-May, with prices starting at 2.99 million rubles. This was reported on April 30 by Avtotok, citing a source at the capital's enterprise.

The channel published images from the presentation, which announced the technical specifications and details about the equipment of the Moskvich 8. According to them, the crossover will be offered in three trim levels with an alternative 1.5-liter turbo engine (174 hp) combined with a seven-speed robotic transmission. The maximum speed is 170 km/h.

There are two body colors to choose from — black and white. The length of the car is 4825 mm with a wheelbase of 2830 mm. The list of initial equipment includes diode optics, 19-inch wheels, tinted rear windows, electric front seat adjustment, heated front and rear seats, two 12.3-inch screens, multimedia with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless charging for a smartphone, rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, six airbags and others. options.

In more expensive trim levels, the Moskvich 8 is equipped with, among other things, a panoramic roof with a sunroof, leather-upholstered seats and ventilation, an all-round viewing system, and adaptive cruise control.

Moskvich 8 will become the fourth model of the revived brand. The announcement of the model's launch took place a year ago, in April 2024. Initially, production and sales launch were planned before the end of that year.

The day before, it was reported that the Moskvich plant had produced several hundred Moskvich 5 crossovers. The model can be put into mass production. The company said that these cars have joined the Moskvich corporate fleet, where engineers and testers are testing them in real conditions.
