The media reported on Zelensky's requests to Trump in the Vatican

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting in the Vatican with American leader Donald Trump, asked him not to give up his role in the peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported on April 30 in The Economist magazine.
Zelensky used his 15 minutes to deliver a simple message: Ukraine is ready for an unconditional cease—fire.
In addition, the head of Ukraine stressed during the conversation that Trump should not abandon the peace "that only he can provide."
Earlier, on April 29, in an interview with Atlantic magazine, Trump declared his desire to help Ukraine in order to prevent its imminent collapse. At the same time, he noted that he could not guarantee the provision of weapons.
