Sobyanin summed up the results of the month of improvement of Moscow

Utilities and residents of Moscow have prepared the capital for the May holidays during the landscaping month. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about the results of the general cleaning in his blog.

"The changeable April weather did not interfere with our annual general cleaning," the mayor noted. According to him, the utilities carried out large-scale work throughout the capital for a month. On April 19 and 26, thousands of Muscovites joined them as part of citywide cleanups.

During the month of landscaping, the facades of residential buildings and administrative buildings were cleaned, the plinths and entrances were repaired, children's and sports grounds were put in order. Special attention was paid to the road transport infrastructure: roads and sidewalks were repeatedly washed with a special detergent, transport tunnels, overpasses, bridges and pedestrian crossings were cleaned.

In preparation for the summer season, experts have prepared for the launch of the city fountains and berths for river navigation. The city's flower beds were decorated with more than 4.2 million violas and 15 million tulips.

"As always, Moscow celebrates the May holidays clean, beautiful and elegant," Sobyanin stressed.
