The Supreme Council of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) extended the state of emergency in the economy until June 8. This was announced on April 30 in the press service of the legislative body.

"The reason for the extension is the continuing economic emergency caused by a reduction in natural gas supplies to the PMR," the Telegram channel of the Supreme Council says.

It is reported that the state of emergency in the economy of Transnistria has been extended for the 5th time for 30 days. The special legal regime will be in effect until June 8.

As explained in Parliament, the state of emergency in the economy is being extended to restore the necessary conditions for the viability of the republic and to meet the basic needs of the population.

Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Rechan announced on February 13 that the European energy company MET Group had started supplying gas to Transnistria. Rechan added that according to the Hungarian supply chain, the government only checks operations for legality.
