The Ministry of Finance told about 16 million calls from Russians to the 1945 number

Subscribers of Russian telecom operators called the 1945 number almost 16 million times as part of the "Hurrah for Victory!" campaign. This was announced on April 30 by the Ministry of Finance of Russia.

By calling the specified number, Russians can replace the usual horn with a military song, install the Victory logo, and also hear the daily Sovinformburo reports performed by Yuri Levitan.

"As of April 29, 2025, the 1945 number was called 15.9 million times," RIA Novosti quoted the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation as saying.

The multimedia action "Hurrah for Victory!" is timed to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

For the historic ceremony, it was necessary to work out a drill step in a month, make dozens of standards and sew thousands of uniforms.

Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, together with Elena Malysheva, head of the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of Russia, announced the launch of the "Hurrah for Victory!" campaign dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory at a press conference at the Rossiya Segodnya multimedia press center on February 25.
