At least 14 people have died in a hotel fire in India.


In the Indian city of Calcutta, a fire in a hotel killed 14 people. This was reported on Wednesday, April 30, by NDTV TV channel with reference to the police.
"The bodies of 14 people were found, several people were rescued. A special investigation team has also been formed," the newspaper quoted the city's police commissioner Manoj Kumar Verma as saying.
The fire is currently localized, according to the publication.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
Earlier, on April 24, a fire broke out in a restaurant in the city of Liaoyang in northeastern China, killing 22 people and injuring three others.
