A Russian man wanted through Interpol channels was deported from Indonesia to Russia. accused of multi-million dollar embezzlement and money laundering. This was announced on Wednesday, April 30, by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"According to reports, since 2014, the attacker participated in a criminal scheme organized by the chairman of an elite horticultural society in the Leningrad region. The participants, registered as individual entrepreneurs, illegally received over 100 million rubles from the partnership's accounts under fictitious service agreements," the MIA Media portal quotes her as saying.

At the airport in Denpasar, the defendant was handed over to representatives of the Russian police for delivery to Moscow. The man was charged with crimes of theft of other people's property and money laundering (Articles 160 and 174.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Earlier, on April 25, it was reported that three Azerbaijani citizens who were put on the international wanted list had been extradited from Russia to their homeland. It is specified that the men are suspected of crimes committed on the territory of their country. They evaded the investigation and fled, as a result of which law enforcement officers put them on the international wanted list.
