The State Duma proposed to increase the minimum wage to 34 thousand rubles.


On Wednesday, April 30, the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov from the Liberal Democratic Party, announced the development of a bill providing for an increase in the minimum wage to 34 thousand rubles.
"On the eve of May 1, deputies of the LDPR faction remind: labor in Russia is undervalued and in terms of pay is not comparable with European countries with weak economies," he wrote on his page in the Telegram channel.
He proposed to partially correct the situation by raising the minimum wage to 34 thousand rubles from January 1, 2026 and setting a lower hourly wage for part-time workers to 300 rubles per hour.
On January 31, it became known that the Ministry of Labor has prepared a bill that introduces in 2025 a monthly payment of 72.4 thousand rubles for women awarded the title of "Mother Heroine". So, according to the document, last year the monthly cash payment was 66.1 thousand rubles. In 2025, 72.4 thousand rubles will be paid to women, in 2026 — 75.6 thousand rubles, in 2027 — 78.6 thousand rubles.
