Actor Vdovichenkov got a role in the movie "Husband Hello" without trying out


Actor Vladimir Vdovichenkov received an offer to star in Anton Maslov's film "Husband Hello" at an event during the festival of online cinemas "New Season". There, the director was awarded a special prize for the series "The Last Bogatyr. Legacy."
"He was congratulated by everyone around him. He was so businesslike, with a bowtie around his neck, and I think: "Cool!" And suddenly he comes up to me and says, "Vladimir, I have a script. Would you like to read it and star in my picture?" I said, "With a titled director, I'm ready!" The pre-arrangement was spot on. He sent the script a few hours later. I read it, and I liked everything very much," - told Vdovichenkov "Izvestia".
At the center of the story about the employee of the registry office Katerina, played by Julia Peresild, whose own marriage has long been put on pause - the husband of five years is in a coma. An unexpected meeting with another man - George, played by Vladimir Vdovichenkov - changes the life of the heroine and forces her to make a difficult choice.
The picture debuted at the 47th Moscow International Film Festival and won the grand prize at the "Russian Premiers" competition, in which it was presented. In wide distribution the film will be released on May 1.
In an exclusive interview with "Izvestia" Vladimir Vdovichenkov told how he is attracted to the melodrama genre, why he does not like auditions and how he feels about "The Word of a Patsan":
"I do not like movies where there is only cruelty and everything is bad."
