The traveler Konyukhov shared the details of the aborted expedition

Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov, who was evacuated during a solo sea expedition from South America to Australia, shared details of the aborted expedition on April 29.
"The whole family came to meet me," the writer told reporters.
According to Konyukhov, during the 470 days of his journey, only one oar broke.
The Russian added that he was grateful to the professionalism of the Chinese sailors who evacuated him in the difficult conditions of the storm.
The traveler noted that he has many more trips planned: the nearest one will take place in the summer. And in winter Konyukhov will go to the polar station in Antarctica. After flying in a hot air balloon, he is going to return to the southernmost continent and spend nine months there.
Konyukhov became the first in history to cross the South Atlantic on a rowing boat. On March 15, it was reported that the traveler spent 100 days in the Southern Ocean, having covered about half of the route from South America to Australia on the rowing boat Akros.
The voyage was designed for about 200 days, but on the 114th day Konyukhov completed the crossing of two oceans due to numerous failures of the ship's control and life support systems. The next day, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, he boarded a cargo ship bound for China. On April 24, Konyukhov arrived at the Dalian visa application Center, where he was met by representatives of the Russian diaspora.
