Latvia bans Kristina Orbakaite and Goran Bregovic from entering the country

The State Security Service of Latvia has banned Russian singer Kristina Orbakaite from entering the country. This was reported on April 29 by Latvian Radio (LSM).
The ban also affected Goran Bregovic, an artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"According to the State Security Service of Latvia, the performances of these individuals in Latvia do not correspond to the interests of Latvia's national security, as they may contribute to increasing interethnic tension in Latvian society," the article clarifies.
One of the reasons for the ban was the performances of artists on the territory of the Republic of Crimea after 2014. At the same time, Orbakaite and Bregovich had concerts planned in Latvia this year.
On April 25, LSM announced that Latvia intends to deploy defensive structures on the border with Russia. It clarifies that territories that will be alienated by the state for defense needs will be given the status of objects of national interests. The deployment of protective structures is planned both along the border itself and at a depth of up to 30 km from it.
