The State Department announced the US withdrawal from negotiations on Ukraine

The United States will cease its participation in negotiations on the conflict in Ukraine in the absence of progress in its settlement. This was announced on Tuesday, April 29, during a briefing by the official representative of the U.S. Department of State Tammy Bruce.
"If there is no progress, we will abandon the role of intermediaries in this process," she quoted Secretary of State Marco Rubio, broadcast on The Economic Times YouTube channel.
According to Bruce, Rubio recently informed her that the current stage of negotiations indicates the need for both sides — Russia and Ukraine — to provide their proposals for a settlement.
On April 27, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that negotiations with the United States on the conflict in Ukraine were moving in the right direction. He recalled that the American Secretary of State, among other things, expressed the opinion that during the negotiations Washington better understood Moscow's position, as well as the underlying causes of the conflict.
