For the sixth time, the Pakistani army violated the ceasefire along the border in Jammu in the Pargwal sector in Jammu and Kashmir. This was announced on Tuesday, April 29, by the India Today TV channel.

As indicated in the publication, Pakistan's actions led to a number of punitive measures on the part of India. The Islamic Republic has also closed its airspace to Indian aircraft and suspended all trade with New Delhi.

The exchange of fire on the border occurred due to the aggravation of relations between the countries after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.

On April 27, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that the country has no plans to start a military conflict against India without escalation. Asif added that India would face a "more than proportional response" if it attempted to invade Pakistan or attack the country.

Relations between New Delhi and Islamabad worsened after the terrorist attack on April 22 near the Indian city of Pahalgam in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 27 civilians. Both countries have closed the only common open land border and suspended visas. New Delhi has also suspended the Indus Waters Treaty.
