On Tuesday, April 29, Russian tennis player Svyatoslav Gulin was disqualified from the match against Spaniard Alejo Sanchez-Kilesa in the 1/16 finals of the ITF M25 tournament for indecent gestures to the referee.

According to the Sport-Express newspaper, in the decisive set, after an opponent's mistake, Gulin led 4-0, after which he began shouting insults at the referee on the tower in Spanish and Russian, and also showed an obscene gesture, grabbing himself by the groin area.

For this, the Russian received a disqualification and a fine of € 2 thousand.

Gulin is 22 years old, he ranks 407th in the ranking of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP).

Yesterday, Russian Mirra Andreeva defeated Ukrainian tennis player Yulia Starodubtseva in the fourth round match of the WTA tournament in Madrid. Thus, the representative of the Russian Federation reached the quarterfinals of the competition. Andreeva is ranked seventh in the WTA singles rankings.
