200 people were evacuated in the Czech Republic due to a World War II bomb.


In the village of Oldříšov in the Czech Republic, workers discovered an aerial bomb from the Second World War weighing 100 kg at a construction site. Because of this, 200 residents had to be evacuated. The Idnes portal informed about this on April 29.
"In connection with the discovery of the aerial bomb, the police and firefighters evacuated about 200 people on Tuesday. Unexploded ordnance was discovered by workers during excavations and subsequently seized by police officers to defuse explosive devices," the publication says.
It is specified that the aerial bomb was found at 14:30 local time (15:30 Moscow time) in the cottage area of Oldzhishov. The sappers examined the object, after which they reported that it could be defused. At 17:20 local time (18:20 Moscow time), residents were allowed to return to their homes.
On April 23, NDR broadcaster announced the evacuation of over 11,000 residents of the German city of Kiel due to the discovery of an aerial bomb from World War II. It is specified that the explosive device was discovered during reconnaissance work in the Dietrichsdorf area near the highway.
