The number of cable car trips to VDNKh has exceeded one million

The millionth passenger visited the Aerial Tramway cable car at VDNKh. According to Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina, the attraction can carry up to a thousand people in an hour.

"Since the beginning of the year alone, there have been almost 360,000 Muscovites and tourists. We swept over the territory of the complex once. The largest number of trips during this period was in January — 126 thousand," Sergunina said.

Olga Lobanova from Crimea became the millionth passenger of the Air Tram. Together with her husband and children, she came to the capital for a few days as part of a trip to Russia. According to Olga, "the views from the cable car are magnificent."

The Aerial Tram started operating at VDNKh in August 2024. The length of its route is 769 meters — from the Yuzhnaya station at the main entrance to the Severnaya station, located near the Stone Flower fountain). From a height of more than 30 meters, there is a panoramic view of the buildings, structures and the park ensemble of the country's main exhibition.

The cable car is part of the Orion family theme park. Last week, it was awarded the National Parks of Russia Award in the Park of the Year category. There are already 10 attractions operating in Orion this season, and by 2030 their number is expected to more than triple.
