A shooting has occurred in Sweden, as a result of which several people were killed. This was reported by the Expressen newspaper on Tuesday, April 29.

The incident happened in Uppsala city center.

"A large—scale police operation is underway, which, among other things, involves helicopters and patrols with dogs," the newspaper said.

Several witnesses told the newspaper that they had heard at least three gunshots. Train traffic was stopped for a while due to the police operation.

According to the Aftonbladet newspaper, the incident occurred in a barbershop, and the suspect left the scene on an electric scooter.

On April 27, a shootout took place in the American city of Myrtle Beach, located in the state of South Carolina, as a result of which one person was killed and 11 residents were injured.
