Traffic congestion in Moscow has reached eight points

Traffic jams on Moscow's roads reached eight points, according to data from the Yandex Traffic service on Tuesday, April 29.

It is noted that traffic is difficult on outbound highways, in some areas — on sections of the outer and inner sides of the MKAD. Traffic jams were also recorded on the Third Transport and Garden Rings, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

According to the service, traffic congestion in the capital will decrease by 20:00 Moscow time.

Earlier, on April 17, the Moscow Traffic Management Center announced the closure of streets in the city in connection with the preparation and holding of events dedicated to Victory Day.

On April 29, May 3, and May 7 and 9, traffic will be restricted on Volgogradsky Prospekt, Sadovoye Koltso, Novy Arbat, Bolshaya Polyanka, Tverskaya, Solyanka, Petrovka, and the central embankments of the city.

Two-way traffic will be organized in the Taganskaya Square area from 16:30 on April 29 to 03:00 on April 30, as well as from 16:30 on May 3 to 03:00 on May 4, and from 05:00 to 13:00 on May 7 and 9.

On April 29, May 3, 7, and 9, underground pedestrian crossings will be closed on sections of Volgogradsky Prospekt, Sadovoye Koltso, Tverskaya Street, and Novy Arbat Street. The underground pedestrian crossing near the Mayakovskaya metro station will remain open.
