Moscow negatively assesses Berlin's subversive role in the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on April 29 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

This is how she reacted to a statement from the German Foreign Ministry, in which the ministry gave a negative assessment of the Easter truce in Ukraine and called on Russia to agree to a permanent cease-fire instead of a temporary one for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.

"Russia negatively assesses Germany's disruptive role in the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

In addition, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that Russia is calling on Germany to stop supplying weapons to the Kiev regime.

On April 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a truce in the days of the 80th anniversary of Victory from 00:00 from May 7-8 to 00:00 from May 10-11. The Kremlin clarified that, in Russia's opinion, the Ukrainian side needs to follow the same example.

Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the initiative to cease fire on Victory Day is a manifestation of Russia's goodwill. According to him, Putin is guided by humanitarian considerations, and this underlines Moscow's readiness to reach a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
