The expert named the mistakes in the combination of jewelry

Modern fashion allows you to mix styles and combine the seemingly incongruous: white and yellow gold, massive chains with elegant pendants. However, on May 2, Anna Lardo, a gemologist and founder of the Lardaux jewelry company, told Izvestia that some ways of wearing jewelry can seriously harm their appearance and shorten their service life.

According to the expert, one of the common mistakes is wearing bracelets and watches on one hand at the same time. Although this combination looks stylish, the constant friction of metal elements leads to scratches. The expert recommends wearing accessories on different hands: leave the watch on the left, and the bracelets on the right. This rule is fixed even in jewelry etiquette.

Another risky trend is the layering of rings. Despite the popularity of this technique, wearing multiple rings on one finger or hand accelerates their wear due to constant contact. To preserve the original shine of jewelry, Lardo advises to limit yourself to two rings on one hand.

The expert paid special attention to the care of jewelry. Even precious metals such as gold can fade or change color under the influence of cosmetics and care products. Therefore, it is better to remove jewelry before applying creams, perfumes or other products.

"Jewelry etiquette was created not so much to define boundaries in the selection of an image, but rather to preserve the original brilliance of jewelry," Lardo emphasized.

On April 24, experts from Sokolov and the Scandinavian Health Center (SKH) told Izvestia how to choose jewelry for sensitive skin. According to Anna Matveeva, a dermatologist at the SCZ, the first signs of allergies are redness, swelling of tissues and itching at the point of contact with the accessory. In advanced cases, peeling of the skin and even wet crusts may occur.
