Gunmen killed at least 14 people in an attack in Nigeria's Borno State

At least 14 people were killed in a militant attack on participants of a memorial ceremony in Borno State in northeastern Nigeria. The terrorist organization Boko Haram is suspected of involvement in the incident. The Nigerian edition of Vanguard writes about this on April 29.

"At least 14 bodies have been found after suspected Boko Haram members invaded the village of Kopl in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State," the material says.

It is reported that many of the injured were taken to a hospital in the neighboring state of Adamawa for further treatment.

According to Vanguard, the attackers also set fire to a local church and ten houses of civilians.

Earlier, on April 28, the media reported that at least 26 people were killed in Nigeria as a result of a homemade bomb explosion. It is specified that the explosive device was detonated in Borno State in the northeast of the country.
