The media reported an explosion at a military laboratory in Romania


In Romania, an explosion occurred in a military laboratory for testing ammunition and weapons. This was reported on April 29 by the Antena 3 TV channel with reference to the Ministry of National Defense of the country.
"On Tuesday, at about 14:00, an explosion occurred at the army artillery laboratory in Pantelimon (Zhudets Ilfov), followed by a fire that killed a civilian employee of the unit," the publication says.
According to the newspaper, a 47-year-old woman who was engaged in the physico-chemical analysis of explosive and pyrotechnic materials died. The fire was extinguished, they said.
An investigation is underway into the incident. It is not specified what caused the explosion.
In December, a fire broke out in the laboratory of the Scientific and Technological Park of the National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) in the city of Otwock, Masovian Voivodeship in Poland.
