Chairman of the African Advisory Council noted the role of the Russian Federation in multipolarity

Africa has friends abroad who are stronger than the continent itself, including Russia, which plays an important role in multipolarity. Chairman of the African Advisory Council Francois Ndengwe informed Izvestia about this on April 29.

"And we believe that we have friends abroad who are stronger than us, and number one among them is the Russian Federation again," he said.

Ndengwe expressed the opinion that Africa is in a trend leading to a multipolar and just world.

"I think we are in a favorable trend. In a trend leading to a multipolar and just world. The old world is gone, and to a large extent it's thanks to the Russian Federation," Ndengwe told Izvestia correspondent Anton Zolotnitsky.

According to the chairman of the African Advisory Council, those who want the world to hate Russia have a "powerful propaganda machine" — the Internet. Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously spoken about the "empire of lies." According to Ndengwe, it actually exists. Every day, they lie about it and don't let you watch Russian television abroad.

"We can cooperate, as [US President] Donald Trump is trying to do. The United States, a great country, can cooperate with Russia, which is also a great country, for the sake of world peace. That's what we stand for," he said.

Ndengwe added that this is why this open dialogue is important, as it represents the future of the world and a new platform for global growth.
