A participant in the "Time of Heroes" program became an adviser in the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship

Eduard Shonov, a recipient of two Orders of Courage and a participant in the Time of Heroes program, has been appointed adviser to the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development in Moscow.

Last May, Shonov became one of more than 80 participants in the Time of Heroes program. This initiative was proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and is being implemented by the Higher School of Public Administration of the Presidential Academy.

According to Shonov, "The Time of Heroes" provides a unique opportunity for participants in a special military operation to continue to work effectively in the interests of the country. "Experts and mentors of the program help to determine a new professional trajectory, taking into account the experience and acquired competencies in the learning process. My mentor, Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Alekseevna Sergunina, paid special attention to the formation of an internship plan in order to give an opportunity to determine the direction of work," he said.

The participant of the program expressed the hope that, as an adviser to the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development, he would continue to work with initiatives that he had become familiar with during his internship. "The plans include work on the formation of a training center for unmanned aircraft systems, including the preparation of training programs and personnel selection," said Shonov.

According to Natalia Sergunina, Eduard Shonov's desire "to contribute to projects that are significant for the state, his authority, leadership qualities and responsible approach to business, combined with the capabilities of the capital, will be useful in solving one of the priorities for our country — achieving technological leadership."

Eduard Shonov was born in Kamen-na-Ob, Altai Territory, in 1991. He graduated from the Military University in 2015. For performing combat missions, Eduard Shonov was awarded two Orders of Courage, the Suvorov Medal and the Medal for Bravery.
