Repair of the bridge across the Black River began in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, they started repairing the bridge over the Chernaya River in Inkerman. Traffic will not be blocked, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said on Tuesday, April 29.

"I want to reassure motorists right away: there will be no complete closure of the bridge. When the contractor starts work on the road, reverse traffic with a traffic light will be organized," the official said, quoted by IA SevastopolMedia.

According to him, the Presidential Road will become an additional alternative detour.

The need for repairs was determined after diagnosis. Defects affecting road safety were found: violation of the protective coating of metal structures and insulation of expansion joints, defects in the roadway and local destruction of a layer of reinforced concrete structures.

During the repair, the contractor will eliminate all defects, replace the asphalt pavement and barrier fence. While work is being carried out under the bridge, road workers are cleaning concrete structures by sandblasting.

The repair of the engineering structure is carried out within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".

Earlier it was reported that the A-289 highway leading from Krasnodar to Crimea became toll-free on April 22. It was taken over by the state-owned Avtodor company.
