Starting from May 2, S7 Airlines will increase the number of flights from Moscow to Antalya. The carrier's press service announced this on Tuesday, April 29.

The flights will operate two flights a day, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

Izvestia reported on April 21 that Russians aged 60 and older began to travel more during the May holidays.

According to the study, the top five cities where elderly tourists travel most frequently during the May holidays include Moscow (33%), St. Petersburg (16.4%), Yekaterinburg (9.8%), Kazan (3.2%) and Sochi (2.5%).

During the May holidays, Russian pensioners most often choose to travel to such foreign destinations as Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Abkhazia. There is a particularly noticeable increase in interest in Egypt, where demand increased by 87% compared to last year, as well as in the UAE, where it increased by 55.5%. In addition, analysts note a significant increase in interest in traveling to China and Vietnam compared to single requests last year.

Earlier, on April 16, Dmitry Gorin, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Air Transport Agencies, told NSN that Turkey and Thailand are in high demand among tourists from Russia during the summer season. At the same time, China performs an important transit function and offers affordable transportation to other countries — Japan and South Korea. 360.ru .
