Former Moldovan Prosecutor General Alexander Stoyanoglo has said he is returning to politics to put an end to the arbitrariness and abuses of President Maia Sandu and her ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PDS). He wrote about this on April 29 in his Telegram channel.

"As Prosecutor General, I was deeply disappointed with the way the current government is implementing its mandate. I was persecuted and illegally removed from office just because I refused to follow political instructions. These abuses are not a thing of the past. They have become a system and continue to this day," he stressed.

Stoyanoglo added that he was returning to politics to put an end to Sandu's arbitrariness. According to him, he intends to ensure that the state serves society again, and not representatives of the authorities.

He noted that Sandu has built such a system around its name, which eliminates independence and punishes other authorities for disobedience.

On April 15, former President of the Republic Igor Dodon stated that Moldova's judicial system is under the control of Sandu and the PDP. He noted that this state of affairs deprives the Moldovan leadership of trust and points to abuse of power and actions contrary to the Constitution.

On March 29, Dodon said that Sandu's plan to deprive EU funding from those regions of the republic where an "unsatisfactory" result was obtained in the referendum on European integration was administrative racism. He stressed that Sandu continues to divide and discriminate against Moldovan citizens.

Alexei Lungu, the leader of the Moldovan opposition Chance party, said on March 27 that Moldova had turned into a "fascist captured state" during Sandu's presidency, which was fighting the opposition and stealing budget money, while the republic had become the poorest country in Europe.
