In Dagestan, the driver of a boat was detained after the vessel capsized due to a collision with a rock in the Sulak Canyon, which killed a woman. This was announced on April 29 by the press service of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"The driver has been detained, and a preventive measure will be chosen for him in the near future," the department told TASS.

The boat capsized in the Sulak Canyon due to a collision with a rock, it became known the day before. It was noted that there were eight people on board, of whom one woman, born in 1992, died. Later, a criminal case was opened on violation of safety rules.
