A new rollerdrome will be built in Zheleznovodsk to replace the old one

A new rollerdrome is being equipped in the park of Zheleznovodsk (Stavropol Territory). It will replace the old one, which collapsed, the press service of the city administration reported on Tuesday, April 29.

"We decided that such a rollerdrome, as it was, is not suitable for operation, it wears out very quickly and has to be repaired regularly. Therefore, a concrete one will appear," said Evgeny Bakulin, the resort's mayor, quoted by StavropolMedia news agency.

According to him, the new rollerdrome will have a lot of advantages, starting from aesthetics and ending with a long service life.

The area of the new facility will be more than 360 square meters. Tourists and citizens will be able to ride roller skates, skateboards and scooters.

Earlier in April, it was reported that Zheleznovodsk received the status of a city of military historical heritage. The resort treated wounded Red Army soldiers until the occupation in August 1942.
