A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that units of the Zapad group of forces had liberated the village of Doroshovka in the Kharkiv region. In this area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 240 soldiers, three foreign-made field artillery guns, a tank and four vehicles. Two electronic warfare stations and two ammunition depots were destroyed.

In addition, the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet during the day, and missile forces, drones, aviation and artillery hit ammunition depots, launch sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, the infrastructure of military airfields, the training center of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 152 districts.

Air defense systems destroyed seven American JDAM guided aerial bombs and 189 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Russian president, conditions have now appeared for further successful actions by our troops in other sectors of the front.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 662 aircraft, 24,238 field artillery and mortar guns, 283 helicopters, 1,553 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 605 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,081 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 54,368 unmanned aerial vehicles and 34,718 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
