Russians talked about popular ways of storing cash

Among the Russians surveyed, one in two keeps cash at home. At the same time, more than half of them can entrust their savings to a bank, subject to high interest rates on deposits, guarantees of security and protection of funds. This is stated in the results of the VTB survey, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 30.
Experts have found that about a quarter of respondents prefer to keep cash in a safe, as well as in piggy banks (20%) and books (20%). Some (12%) put money in hidden pockets in their clothes, while 7% keep cash under their mattress. Also among the most unusual places where money is hidden at home are behind paintings, in kitchen utensils, in electronics, under the floor, inside toys or other children's things, in the bathroom.
Russians mostly keep a small amount of money at home: from 5,000 to 30,000 rubles (more than 40% of respondents) or from 30,000 to 100,000 rubles (more than 30%). Most noted that it is convenient to store cash in this way, because there is always access to them. Some use a savings account as an "electronic wallet" for the operational use of funds that are available at any time.
Earlier, on April 3, it was reported that the most common financial dream of the Russians surveyed was the desire to stop working and live on passive income. 47% of respondents chose this option, according to the results of a study by the financial marketplace <url>. At the same time, 21% of respondents strive for self-realization through the creation of something meaningful, and 13% are thinking about acquiring real estate.
