The diplomat revealed the condition of the Russian sailors injured in the attack on Yemen

Two Russians injured in a US airstrike on the port of Ras Isa in Yemen were slightly injured, and the third requires eye surgery. This was announced on April 29 by the Charge d'affaires of the Russian Federation in Yemen, Yevgeny Kudrov.

"Two Russian citizens were slightly injured. According to reports, their lives are not in danger, the condition of the victims is stable," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, another Russian was hospitalized, due to his injuries, he needs eye surgery.

The diplomat clarified that the Russian Embassy in Yemen is monitoring the situation and is ready to assist the country's authorities. The shipowner of the Seven Pearls oil tanker, where the Russians worked as sailors, assured the Russian Federation that he was taking steps to evacuate injured citizens near the port and remove Russian crew members.

Currently, 19 Russian citizens remain at Ras Isa, and the Seven Pearls ship itself is located at a safe distance from the US missile and aerial bomb damage zone, Kudrov said. It is noted that the sailors are equipped with everything necessary, including food.

On the evening of April 26, Jamal Amer, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Houthi government in Sanaa, announced the injured sailors from the Russian Federation. He clarified that Roman Kashpor, Igor Kazachenko and Artyom Vanin were injured. Later, a representative of the Seven Pearls crew announced that the Russians had been transferred to Sanaa. According to him, there were 21 Russians on the ship, including citizens with chronic diseases who need to be examined.

On the morning of April 26, Al Masirah TV channel reported a series of airstrikes by the United States on the territory of Yemen under the control of the Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement. It was clarified that Washington carried out an attack on Sanaa, as well as on the provinces of Saada, Al-Mahwit and Al-Hodeida. According to the TV channel, one person was killed and another was injured as a result of the strikes.
