AvtoVAZ may launch production of Lada Largus under a different brand


AvtoVAZ is considering the possibility of organizing the assembly of Lada Largus cars in Uzbekistan under a local brand during 2025. This was stated by the head of the Russian automobile company Maxim Sokolov at the Innoprom exhibition. Central Asia".
According to Sokolov, the project is in the active stage of development, and it is planned to start large-scale assembly with the Lada Largus model.
"Now we are aiming to resume cooperation with our successful partners, including the implementation of not only the simple sale of our products in the format of exporting, so to speak, finished cars, but also the phased localization of our products and even, possibly, the release of these products under a local Uzbek brand," Sokolov said.
The head of AvtoVAZ also said during the exhibition that the company intends to start assembling Lada cars in Iran and expects to open a dealership there. According to the top manager, a potential partner from Iran is interested in the entire Lada product line, including the new Iskra model. In total, AvtoVAZ plans to export more than 30 thousand Lada cars in 2025, which is at least 43% more than in 2024.
On April 19, AvtoVAZ launched production of the Lada Iskra model at the Tolyatti plant and shared the details of the new product's equipment. It will be available in three body styles: sedan, station wagon and Cross-wagon with black unpainted plastic elements on the body.
