More than 20 people died in a fire at a restaurant in northeast China

A fire broke out in a restaurant in the city of Liaoyang in northeastern China, killing 22 people. This was reported on April 24 by China Central Television.

It is specified that the fire broke out at 12:25 (7:25 Moscow time) in the Bayta area in the city center.

"As of 14:00 (9:00 Moscow time), 22 people were killed and three were injured in the incident," the report said.

According to the TV channel, rescuers are currently eliminating the consequences of the fire.

Earlier, on April 15, a multi-storey residential building in the UAE caught fire, killing five people and injuring 19 others. The fire alarm in one of the apartments was received by the police operations center at 11:31 (10:31 Moscow time). The injured were hospitalized.
