Russia's victory in the Special Military Operation (SVO) will be the first step towards establishing sustainable peace in Europe and creating a new global order. This was announced on April 29 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

"The completion of the special military operation by Russia's victory is the first step towards lasting peace in Europe and building a new global world order in the future, which will, of course, be based on mutual respect, justice, and stable development," he said during the lecture "Our Dangerous World.": who is to blame and what to do?" at the federal educational marathon "Knowledge. The first ones."

Speaking about Ukraine's violation of the Easter truce, Medvedev noted that these actions disappointed even those who retained hopes for Kiev. He also added that attention should be paid to the events that will take place on May 9th.

In addition, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council expressed the hope that negotiations on Ukraine would lead to peace.

"Any negotiations always end if they are conducted in the right way <...> after a conflict, during a conflict, in peace. I hope that it will be the same in this case," he stressed.

On the same day, Nikolai Patrushev, Chairman of the Maritime Board and Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, said that the Russian Federation was approaching the successful completion of its military operations. He added that currently military personnel in the war zone are fighting for the eradication of Nazism in the world, just as their grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought for their Homeland and against fascism during the Great Patriotic War.
