The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations pointed out the importance of the readiness of teachers and counselors for critical situations.

Every specialist, including teachers, counselors, rescuers, and police officers, must be prepared at a critical moment to minimize risks and save lives by their actions. This was stated by the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, during a meeting on the issue of holding anti-terrorist exercises in schools on April 29-30.

According to him, terrorism remains a global threat. He clarified that schools and children's camps often become targets of terrorist attacks, and in this regard called the issue of ensuring the safety of children one of the key tasks of the country that requires special attention.

Kurenkov pointed out the need to work out all the necessary interactions between departments, as well as to train children to respond correctly to the threat during the All-Russian exercises on the actions of employees of educational organizations and recreation areas when committing terrorist attacks. He clarified that the training events are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

"Every teacher, counselor, lifeguard and policeman should be ready at a critical moment to minimize risks, eliminate panic and save lives," said the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

On April 13, employees of the FSB directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) worked out proactive information about the preparation of a terrorist attack to students of school No. 14 in the Donetsk city district and prevented a crime. It was established that the student was a supporter of the Columbine movement (banned in Russia) and planned to manufacture and detonate two improvised explosive devices in the building of an educational institution.
