Chery has built a "car tower" of crossovers

To demonstrate the rigidity of the Tiggo 8 CSH crossover, Chery conducted an unusual test by building a "car tower" out of them. This is stated in the message of the Chinese manufacturer, which was received by Izvestia on April 29.
For testing, seven Tiggo 8 CSH crossovers were installed vertically on top of each other in the form of a 12-meter steel tower. The body of the first car withstood a load of almost 11.5 tons. The company stressed that after 72 hours, the body structure had not undergone significant deformations.
The automaker noted that the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH uses high-strength steel, with more than 65% of the body structure made up of hot-formed steel elements. The arrangement of these materials creates a multidirectional shock absorption system. The car is equipped with 10 airbags that can hold pressure for six seconds, and 19 ADAS assistance systems.
On April 24, it was reported that Chery presented the Tiggo 9L full-size crossover at the Shanghai Auto Show, which will take the flagship place in the SUV line of the Chinese brand. The Tiggo 9L differs from other models in the Tiggo family by a more brutal and "angular" exterior design in the style of frame SUVs. The novelty has received advanced autonomous driving systems — a lidar sensor is located on the roof.
