About 100 Tajik military personnel will take part in the parade on Red Square


On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), about 100 Tajik servicemen will take part in the Victory Day Parade on Red Square. This was announced on April 29 by the head of the press center of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic, Faridun Mahmadalizoda.
"There is one company in Moscow, about 100 Tajik military personnel, who are preparing to participate in the parade on Red Square," TASS quoted him as saying.
The republic's armed forces will be represented by an amphibious assault brigade of mobile troops. Currently, the airborne assault brigade is part of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces and the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), said Mahmadalizoda.
Earlier, on March 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that military personnel from Tajikistan would take part in the Victory Day parade dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow on May 9.
A number of foreign leaders have already confirmed their participation in the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on May 9. Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and President of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will take part in the celebrations.
