Peskov pointed out that Macron ignored Putin's calls for peace.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on April 29 criticized statements by French leader Emmanuel Macron about his intention to increase pressure on Moscow, noting that Paris ignores Russian President Vladimir Putin's calls for a truce and negotiations.
"In Paris, Putin's words about a truce and readiness for negotiations are not being heard. European capitals are focused on the continuation of the <conflict>, and the Russian Federation wants a peaceful settlement," Peskov said.
