Fighters of the Zapad group of forces spoke about their work in the Krasnolimansk area

The fighters of the Zapad group of forces are building on their success in the Krasnolimansky direction: they strike with guided aerial bombs, use sapper robots and drones, actively moving deep into the enemy's defenses. The Russian military told Izvestia about this on April 29.

Russian troops are developing an offensive, advancing towards the settlements of Redkodub, Kolodezi and Zelenaya Dolina. Guided aerial bomb attacks destroyed shelters and deployment points of the 77th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), according to preliminary data, 25 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated.

Engineering units use self-developed sapper robots that not only neutralize mines, but are also capable of performing the functions of a kamikaze drone, vehicle and electronic warfare point. One of these devices blew up an American International MaxxPro armored personnel carrier in the Kharkiv region.

"We wanted to try something new. Birds fly, of course, but they also fall, respectively. That is, we thought: we need to do something more advanced - as we see it now, that is, on the ground," said a fighter from the group with the call sign Shurup in an interview with Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Zimenkin.

In addition, Russian fighters are restoring captured drones right on the front line and immediately putting them into battle. According to the military, drones are used not only for reconnaissance, but also for precision strikes against enemy equipment and manpower.

Now the combat activity of the Zapad group has increased especially, and the troops are actively moving forward.
