Patrushev said that Odessa has no future with the Kiev regime

Most residents of Odessa have nothing to do with the Kiev regime. This was announced on April 29 by Russian Presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev.
"Our country respects the will of the people. This can be seen from the experience of Crimea, Sevastopol, Donbass and Novorossiya joining Russia," he told TASS, answering the question whether Russia claims Ukrainian ports and plans to discuss this in the settlement process.
Patrushev stressed that residents of Ukrainian regions should determine their own future. He expressed the opinion that they are unlikely to want to "link their fate with neo-Nazism," as well as "willlessly submit to the illegitimate Kiev authorities."
In addition, the Russian presidential aide recalled that Odessa was founded by Empress Catherine II and served as Russia's outpost on the Black Sea for more than 200 years.
Back in December 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Odessa a Russian city. He stressed that the entire south-east of Ukraine has always been pro-Russian, calling it the historical territories of the Russian Federation.
