The case was initiated after bullying of a dog in Pskov

A criminal case was opened on the fact of mistreatment of a dog in Pskov. Information about the incident initially appeared on social media. During the police check, the facts were confirmed.

According to the Pskov news feed with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region, the incident occurred in the area of the stadium "Electron". The dog was hanged on the bank of the Velikaya River and cut with a knife. The animal has a penetrating wound to the neck and several stab wounds.

Those involved in the incident are being identified, and witnesses are being sought. The police intend to check the surveillance cameras.

Earlier in Primorye, a court found a resident of the region guilty of mistreatment of a dog. He decided to get rid of his dog, as it periodically broke loose from its leash, and inflicted multiple blows on its head with a metal pipe. As a result, the dog died. The court sentenced the perpetrator to 120 hours of compulsory labor.
