The Meshchansky court of Moscow arrested a Russian citizen in a case of treason. Information about the entry into force of the decision on April 29 was published on the website of the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

"The petition for the election of a preventive measure in the form of D.N. Filipov's detention has been granted," the criminal case file says.

Details about the identity of the person involved and the nature of the crime were not disclosed.

A criminal case has been opened against Filipov under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason").

On April 24, the prosecutor's office of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) announced the sentencing of a 53-year-old resident in a criminal case of high treason. She was sentenced to 13 years in prison for transmitting information about the location of Russian military personnel in the Novoazovsky district of the DPR.
