A man died when an airboat with five passengers capsized in the Tomsk region.

An airboat with five passengers capsized on the Nyrolka River in the Tomsk region, killing one person. This was announced on April 29 by the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

It is specified that the incident occurred on April 28 in the area of the logging base.

"Four people got ashore on their own, one person drowned," the department's Telegram channel says.

This fact is being investigated under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of water transport, resulting in the death of a person"). The causes of the incident are also being established.

On April 28, a boat carrying tourists capsized in the Sulak Canyon in Dagestan. According to preliminary information, one person was killed due to the incident. Three tourists were hospitalized. The details of the incident are being clarified.
