The MC-21 aircraft made its first flight with new Russian systems

The prototype of the MC-21 aircraft, equipped with Russian systems and assemblies, successfully completed its first flight. This was announced on April 29 in the Telegram channel of Rostec State Corporation.
"Our aircraft manufacturers have done a lot of work, replacing about 80 foreign systems and assemblies in order not to depend on sanctions and suppliers from other countries. Today's flight brings us one step closer to certification and the start of deliveries of the import-substituted MC—21 to the market," Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive director of the corporation, is quoted as saying.
It is specified that domestic avionics, power supply and air conditioning systems were tested on board. There were no comments on the operation of the equipment. The flight lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes, the aircraft reached a speed of 580 km / h and an altitude of 3 thousand meters.
On March 26, Yakovlev Aircraft Manufacturing Company (part of Rostec United Aircraft Corporation) received approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the serial production of MC-21 aircraft. During the inspection, the compliance of the aircraft with the quality and safety requirements was confirmed.
Earlier, on March 17, it was reported that the Russian prototype Superjet (SJ-100) aircraft made its first flight with domestic PD-8 engines. The power plants showed stable operation.
