A man was detained in the city of Uyar in the Krasnoyarsk Territory after he tried to kidnap a nine-year-old boy. This was announced by the regional prosecutor's office on April 29.

It is noted that the 36-year-old attacker was drunk. He approached the children playing on the playground and invited one of the boys to accompany him to his friend's house.

"Having been refused to follow along with him, the man grabbed the second-grader by the arm and threatened: "If you scream, I will hit you," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

The child was beaten off by a neighbor who came out to make a noise. He caught up with the kidnapper and forcibly took the boy away from him. It is specified that the attacker resisted and shouted that it was his child.

A criminal case has been opened against the man under Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abduction of a minor"). He has been detained, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.

On February 15, a resident of Yekaterinburg was detained on suspicion of kidnapping a 15-year-old girl. The stranger forcibly took the child from the car in which she was waiting for her father and took her away in an unknown direction. It is specified that the girl was not injured.
