Crews of T-72B3M tanks of the North group of forces destroyed platoon strongpoints and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkov direction in the special operation zone. This was announced on Tuesday, April 29, by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The tankers received the coordinates of the targets from calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A few minutes after receiving the command, the crews arrived at a closed firing position. Then the tankers fired high-explosive shells at the enemy's manpower.

Upon completion of the combat mission, the tank left the area to avoid detection and counterattack, the ministry added.

"In this situation, we are working on the main objectives — the ZOP, we are working out the enemy's dugouts. <...> Whenever possible, we develop independent protection in case of hits and breakthroughs. Let's say these canopies: taking into account experience, arrivals, and arrivals, we begin to hang ourselves with such nets. <...> My main job is to try my best to train and prepare the crews," said the tank platoon commander.

The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that units of the Zapad group of forces had liberated the village of Kamenka in the Kharkiv region. Among the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area are over 240 military personnel, the Quertus electronic warfare station, eight vehicles, six ammunition depots and three field artillery guns, including two manufactured by NATO countries.
