Barcelona store Owners lost thousands of Euros amid Blackout

In Spain, against the background of a power outage, small shop owners are facing financial losses of thousands of euros due to defrosting of refrigerators and spoilage of chilled products. This was reported on April 28 by Izvestia correspondent Mikhail Blokhin.
"I'm not selling ice cream today. Therefore, now it is not even on the shelves, it will simply melt. We have lost about €3-3.5 thousand on ice cream alone today," said local resident Masoud.
In addition, due to the emergency conditions in the city, arson and fires have become more frequent. The footage published by Izvestia shows the work of fire brigades that extinguish the warehouse that caught fire.
Large-scale power outages in Spain and Portugal became known earlier in the day. It was clarified that this affected the operation of public transport, power lines and telephone communication in some parts of Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon. Later, Spanish and Portuguese media reported that specialists had already begun work on restoring power supply.
Later, Spanish political scientist Santiago Armesilla reported a partial resumption of electricity supply in Spain. Madrid residents have been without electricity for more than five hours. In other regions, the duration of outages ranged from three to five hours.
